Allie Rex lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She creates drawing installations using mylar, paint, ink, pencils, vinyl and pins. Inside of her drawings she loves moving images around, arranging them and making millions of tiny very important decisions. Born in Hartford, CT she received her Bachelors of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2002 and her Masters of Fine Art from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2004. She has participated in several art fairs and her work has been shown at the Byron C. Cohen Gallery, Kansas City, Missouri; Gild, New York, New York; The Daimler Chrysler Collection, Auburn Hills, Michigan; Cranbrook Museum of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; Forum Gallery, Bloomfield Hills Michigan; Revolution Gallery, Ferndale, Michigan; Wayne State University Community Arts Gallery, Detroit, Michigan; and School 33 Art Center in Baltimore Maryland.
